Mission
The mission of NYITSec, New York Tech's NYC Cybersecurity Club, is to foster the cybersecurity passion and interest at the institution, enrich the New York Tech community by creating security-aware individuals, and allow the student body, particularly in the Computer Science field, to explore possible degree and/or learning concentrations in Cybersecurity.

To accomplish our mission, we will educate NYIT’s Manhattan campus on the foundational knowledge of Cybersecurity, including but not limited to: recommended security practices, offensive/defensive security, and attack vectors, allow students to participate on NYIT’s behalf in regional and national Cybersecurity competitions, including Capture-the-Flag (CTFs) and security-oriented hackathons, participate in a NYIT-local Cybersecurity CTF competition, hosted by NYITSec Executive Board, and host exclusive events where students will be able to interact with guest speakers who are professionals within the Cybersecurity industry, including professors, academic researchers, and executives and/or senior-level professionals.
