The mission of the AIAA Student Chapter is to foster a community of aspiring aerospace professionals dedicated to advancing the art, science, and technology of aeronautics and astronautics. The chapter aims to promote professional growth, technical excellence, and collaboration through educational activities, networking opportunities, and outreach initiatives that connect students with industry, academia, and the broader aerospace community.

Mission
The mission of the ASCE NYIT Student Chapter is to support and elevate construction/civil engineering students as well as other engineering or architecture majors by providing meaningful opportunities for academic growth, professional development, leadership, and real-world learning. Our chapter aims to connect students with industry professionals from top industries, strengthen engineering skills through hands-on experiences through competitions and conferences and to foster a collaborative community dedicated to advancing civil and construction engineering on campus and beyond.

The Grizzly Cupboard, New York Institute of Technology’s food pantry—is a welcoming, inclusive, and confidential on-campus location that offers free, wholesome, and healthy nonperishable food items. The food and resource pantries serve as a tool for student success and wellbeing. By providing access to non-perishable and frozen food items as well as toiletry and household products, students will gain access to the resources they need to lead healthy and successful academic lives. The Grizzly Cupboard food and resource pantries serve as a supplemental program and should be utilized in conjunction with regular food purchase and/or other resources and government programs (where applicable).

Golden Key recognizes college students from all majors for their academic achievements and encourages scholarship, leadership, and community service. Membership is by invitation only to students who are sophomores, juniors, seniors, or graduate students and have achieved a 3.5 GPA and earned 31 credits (at least 12 from NYIT). Invitations are sent at the beginning of every fall semester. Our chapter is active in volunteer work and career-oriented programs, and members are specially recognized at commencement.

The Arthur O. Eve Higher Education Opportunity Program (HEOP) was created to assist students who because of financial and academic hardships would otherwise be unable to earn a college degree. Students admitted to HEOP receive financial and academic support services. Sponsored jointly with the State of New York, HEOP helps New York Institute of Technology to achieve its mission of providing educational opportunity to all qualified students.
