NYIT Girl Up commits to furthering the United Nations Foundation's mission to stand up for girls and support programs that help them thrive. We aim to empower others to get involved, teach communities that girls matter, and make sure that girls in developing countries are educated, healthy, safe, counted and positioned to be the next generation of leaders.

1) Membership in the Girl Up Club at NYIT, Old Westbury, will be equally available to all New York Institute of Technology students, staff, administrators, and alumni to promote their common interests. There may not be any discrimination based on race, religion, political views, ability, sexual orientation, etc.

2) The campus advisor of this organization shall be Dr. Dina Karafantis.

3) There is no membership fee to become a part of Girl Up at NYIT. For individuals who wish to be a part of the executive board, a commitment to the cause of the club must be shown through fundraising/ advocacy involvement.

4) Members have the right to resign from the office or organization.

5) An official member of this organization is one who attends at least three meetings a semester. This membership list will be updated by the Secretary.
